Fellow that came up with that idea used to take the rear fenders and rear wheels off and just tossed 'em into a big barn for years. Finally somebody came along and bought the whole lot for next to nothing and made a fortune out of it.

So goes the legend in New England.

  • Something like that would be cool to have. I had an uncle north of Duluth, MN that built his own from a Model T in the early '30s. He died about 30 years ago, but his son still uses it, and is pretty much as my uncle built it back in the day.

http://www.kare11.com/video/player.aspx?sid=493599&aid=61195 this is a link to a video on a local news report on the meet here this weekend. 35 below wind chill, but fun! video will have a deal or no deal commercial, moment of blackout, then report will start. I am looking for one of these kits to do an early essex snowmobile.
  • I love the pictures of the T snowmobile. When I was a kid, there was a derilect closed cab T snowmobile sitting next to a barn just north of Stillwater, MN. Don't get too excited, I check to see if it is there every time I go back. How badly I wanted that thing! Still do! Now I collect vintage snowmobiles along with the cars and other junk. Note to self......add on to garage.

    Have a nice day
