Water Dist. at Firewall

Would someone be so kind as to explain the water distribution path as the fluid enters the firewall from the pump?

I am trying to figure out where it goes after in enters the firewall, comes back out, crosses to another firewall entry point, goes "Somewhare" then comes back out to the block.

I do have the heater unit in the passenger cabin about the tranny hump. So I know one segment goes there.

What is the other segement farther out toward the passenger side of the firewall?

If I did not have the heater unit, how would the system be plumbed?

The path is into the control valve, on the passenger side of the cowl, out of there and into the heater core, back out of there and into the top of the head.

If you don't need the heater, just run the hose from the pump to the top of the head.

Or reduce the hose clutter even further by replacing the hose nipples in the head and pump with plugs.

Thank you. I think mine are switched then. My hose from the pump goes to the middle of the firewall - not the passenger side. I'll get a picture posted tomorrow.
