the bigger the mess, the happier I are!

:)Sheesh, Gang, I got myself into a mess. Thought I'd put the 36 coupe out of service for a while and do some maintainence work. You know the routine--oil change, carb cleaning, stuff like that. One thing led to another as only can happen on these old babies, ended up pulling the head to fix a couple of broken bolts, pulled the oil pan and tray (what a gunky mess!) oil pump, waterpump, 'course all the hoses and belts, pulled the little oil pressure sensor (and when I dissassembled it, the spring exploded all the parts all over my mess of a garage, hope I found all the pieces) and so on.

At some point along the line, I ended up getting a new gasket kit from Dale, and she's finally starting to go back together. Up to my elbows in oil and grease, and waiting for my manifold to come back with TWO outlets.

Alex's tech stuff has saved me already a couple of times.

It's funny, I've found three or four reasons that should keep her from running right, (wrong plugs, wrong point gap, bad carb adjustment, etc.) now I'm just hoping I'll hear her run again....:o

Can you post an image of your new manifold when you get it back? Interested in where you propose running the second pipe as there isn't much space that I can see, especially RHD as the steering box is also on this side!
