Had to share this. Take a look at this Hornet Coupe hugging the curves and listen to that engine sound. Don't know if thats a Hudson power plant but it sounds great. Thanks to my Swedish buddy Roland for sharing this.

According to Ken Cates, "Francisco Marquez and his copilot Araceli Ramirez covered the 2000 mile race again this year. This duo are veterans of multiple races since the begining of the 2nd Millenium. The QUAKER OATS Hudson is but one of several differnet Hudson cars Francisco has piloted on this course."

Looks like they were racing a Benz in 05 & 06

In case anyone has any "connections", I'd love to know on the Quaker Hudson:

    1. type engine, tranny and differential

    2. front suspension details

    3. rear suspension details

    4. 4-wheel discs (Y or no)

    THANKS

Engine Edelbrock crate 350 CID engine edelbrock performer rpm intake, 600 cfm edelbrock carb, K&N filter. Th350 trans.

Front suspension: The front clip of this car is fiberglass the suspension is off a camaro. Rear end is narrowed Ford 9inch.

Brakes: Wilwood setup 6 piston calipers four wheel discs with 3 master cylinders. Two for up front and single for back.

If you want to discuss the specifics of these build take it to the thread in the discussion section. I posted this link for people to smile and go wow not to spark a debate about the need to modify your Hudson.

I also provide the above information as a courtesy. Read the rules of the race and you can see what mods are acceptable and which are not. When this amount of mods has been done you are not discussing Hudson Vs the others you are discussing engineering of components as the Studebaker that won had almost the same setup and most of that car was fiberglass as well. Are they actually Hudson and Studebaker well they are in the same way a Chevy Malibu Nascar is like a Chevy Malibu you find on a dealers lot.
