SUPER NICE GUY!! That is one tedious project . Much applause for your talent and determination. Got any idea how many hours you have in it ?0

I made the grill on the computer using a program called Rhino.
I then sent the computer file to a water/laser cutting outfit. I did the shaping on a press using a die with a slightly smaller diameter to account for the spring reaction of the metal and shazam!

Sweet! Wanna do a '37 grille next??? Actually, mine is in great shape, overall, but it seems to be the exception!
Ironman, is your car the one that was on ebay a few months ago, in New York, maybe? If it is, you got that for a great price! I was soooo tempted to bid on that one, too!0 -
Hi patrick,
Yes I bought it on ebay acouple months ago I thought it was a good deal, the engine only has 200 miles on it. I used to have a 37 Hudson 8 70 series with a table that folded out in front of the back seat, It was a great I always liked the Terraplanes and snatched this one up. Making a 1937 Grill is a totaly different proccess because they are seporate vertical bars, I would need one for a model since I don't have one kicking around.
My 36 grill is now installed in the suround and looks good, when I put it on the car I'll post pics.

Hey Ironman....NICE WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are going to be busy making Hudson Parts for your Hudson Friends like Me
????? LOL. Nice stuff, Ron
PS...And Oakland is not that far from me...:)0 -
I did cut out four of them, if you need one I could do it not sure what to charge.
Here's one last set of photos. Trying to show the detail it's hard when you scale down the file size, I think these do a better job.

That's really nice, any reason they could'nt be used on a 37 except they are not correct ?0
