Wide White Walls on my Jet

Here's a pic of the freshly installed wide whites on my Jet. My wife and parents surprised me with these tires for Christmas. They came via Hudson Dave, and he did great by us. My wife said that Coker kept trying to sell her tires that were too big for the Jet, but Hudson Dave went above and beyond to get the correct size for me.

Thanks Hudson Dave!!!!

  • Looks great Matt. Your wife and your folks knew what they were doing too. Just what your nice little Jet needed to sorta top it off. BUD
  • What a nice surprise. Now for a set of skirts. ;)

Maybe...I have the skirts sitting on a shelf, they didn't fit correctly with the old tires, but they'll fit fine with these. I kinda like it without the skirts.
  • The www look good on that little Jet!
  • Matt, the www look great! I knew before Christmas you were getting them. Your dad told me about them! They shouldn't flap in the wind like your pap's fake www he had on his 47 Hudson! Uncle Bill
  • Hi Matt,

Your Jet looks much improved since I first saw you and your father on the road driving to Laughlin meet... Congratulations; I also see your Commodore in the same picture.

At least you have the option to use the skirts now. How's the ride and handling with those spiffy new WWLS?
  • Matt,

Looks nice; I assume they are radials.

We are looking forward to get to meet you on our up-coming trip to Vegas-then Ridgecrest, CA, to retrieve the 1st of my 2 Super Jets, enroute to bring them to their new home.

I took it on the highway today, and these P185/80R15's seem to do as well as the old P205/75R15's. It is much easier to park with the correct size tires on it. I bet I get better fuel mileage with the skinnier tire, too.

Thanks John, I'll see you then.
  • She looks great! Put the skirts on her and she will look like a classy lady!!

    53' Superjet with skirts.
  • Matt; she looks great. The color combination and WWW make that little jet look great. This is the first time I've looked at a Jet and thought to myself that it's a good looking little car. Put the skirts on and lets have a poll on which looks better. Of course it's you car and if you like it sans skirts then leave them off.

OK...will do. If I don't get my butt out of bed in time to take a skirted pic tomorrow before work, it will have to wait until I get back from Florida next week.
  • John, they got the Diamond Back radials from Hudson Dave, who posts on here. A heck of a nice guy that was really nice to my wife, unlike the folks at Coker. His contact info is at http://www.fatwhitewalls.com/
