New splasher filter or screening?
Hello again everyone. You know I love talking to you guys. It's like, after a long hard day having a famiy to come home to. But, seriously now, can new filters for these engines be obtained or do you have to somehow aquire the proper screening to replace the old, using the old (frame)? I cleaned and soldered my old one for starting purposes but would feel a lot safer if I had a new one for driving. Thanks for any responce. Phil

I assume you're talking about the screens in the pan. Do the best you can with them and change your oil regularly and she'll be OK
Back when these things were built, people didn't change their oil, sometimes for years, ran them in the woods, dirt roads, tar, and oil and stone roads etc. And the oil wasn't as good as it is now.0 -

I was looking thru some older posts and found this one. I replaced the oil pan screen on my 29 Hudson with stainless steel screen from this place in San Diego. Take a look if you have not seen this place. Ron0
