Visor for '36

:confused:I am considering the outside visor for my '36 'plane coupe. Would anyone know how I would go about finding one that would fit. Will the old Fultons fit. My problem lies in the fact that the visor models never include us orphans.

  • HI SLIM, Yes the old Fultons were from my younger days and they had universal models that were adjustable for width at the center with a support bracket in the center to keep them from going back over the top. . Watch for that. I would'nt be afraid to redo a one peice model the same way . Hey that coupe you got really cranks me up. Think it would make me feel like a kid again too and I'm 72 !!!
  • Les go, Bud. We'll pick up a couple of other guys on here, and go raise some hell!
  • HEY, Just now working on getting a 37 coupe, {got a 4dr now } be a good while before it'd even come close to yours tho. Sent you some info on visors via email. FILL THE TANK , I'm ready !!
  • Should get my split manifold back any day now. We'll swing around an' pick up ol racer and Unck Josh on the way outta town.

By the way. Explain to me the dummy--what's a utility coupe?:)
  • HEY me and them 2 would have a blast, all about the same age, seen/ lived the good yrs before dope and rope !! Throw a few aspirin in your coke and make like it was a big deal. Yeah, can you beleive that ? AHH, for the 50's, kids never had it so good as then . --Utilty coupe had no back seat and a box on rails in place of it takeing up the trunk space. Open the trunk lid, roll it out, instant pickup. NEATO HUH ? BUD
  • hi guys also 72 and recomend leaving the visors for the stepdowns, your car is too cool to hang a lump over the windshield, just my opinion BILL ALBRIGHT
  • Not lookin for 'brownie points" cause I don't think Bill issues any, but I do agree even tho I gave Slim all the help I could if that's what he wants to do, it's his car. The old coupes have great lines just as they are. The stepdown lines lend themselves to the look a visor gives them. I don't like them on ANY pre-stepdown, coupe or sedan. My two-bits {HEY THAT"S 25 CENTS WORTH !} C'mon Bill, we'll make this thing a first class CONVOY !! BUD
  • The opinions of you guys on this forum mean a great deal to me, whe it comes to my car. I love hearing them! I have been looking at some of my favorite mid 30's cars (coupes) and seems none of them have the visor. I may agree with you.
  • HEY SLIM, Lets open this up for opinion since I'm HOPEING to soon acquire a coupe and would also like some comments. But don't forget to include Slims visor question. I have allways liked the look of the external REAR spare tire on coupes of any make. Not too many sedans tho. Like the fender mounts on all the pre 40's cars , BUD
