What air filter units are sitting one top?
Do they fit a Carter WA-1 749S carb?
Does the company have other throat sizes?0 -
The Filters are Mr Gasket #1485A (Advance Auto) from a Tunnel ram dual Holley 4bbl's setting on a plastic 'adapter' converting to a 2bbl carb.
I found the plastic 'Adaptors' in a Swap Meet $1 box of specials. I believe they were Trans Dapt or some similar brand. I bought several not realizing there were different sizes so they make one for the smaller 2bbl. I cut a smaller one to fit0 -
did you make the intake?0
-
OK, now after the overdrive I'll just pick up one of those Triple-H intakes and I'll be ready for the highway!
Nice look there.0 -
Call Glen Johnson and see if you can talk him out of his triple carb set up...0
-
Yes,
The Intake was home made. Back in the 'Day' I had another one with 3 Stromberg 97's. Some other Modified's used to put 6 single bbl's Carbs on a log manifold. (too much I thought)
The hardest part is cutting the flanges... Clifford used to sell the flange plates already cut..0 -
I thought I saw the flanges a while back on eBay.... maybe that was for headders though....0
