Found this online somewhere last week and can't find it again! Looking for a copy of the Ad or a high resolution scan of it for a sign board for the display of my 51 at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles which runs through August. This is the only color photo of the 51 race car I've ever seen! Can anyone help? Note the Ford truck hubs peeking out through the wheels--officially allowed by Nascar on a safety basis while maintaining the cars were "strictly stock".

That's right--they are 52s. And the only color I've seen until the 51 with red wheels at the start of this thread jumped off the web at me. And I can't even find that image again! In 1994 when I built my car I painted my wheels black based on the only color I'd seen (the 52s after winning Daytona)--guess I have to re-paint!

Attached photo is the car at Laguna Seca Historic Races last August.
  • 51 hudson hornet coupe----in your browser will bring up the Franklin Mint 51 coupe with the red wheels--a 3/4 angle from the front shot much better than the rear shot---Bud
