Greasy Hash

Got up under the front end this afternoon and started pulling off zerk fittings and cleaning them out. There is still a little grease in the joints but not much and the zerks were all stuck. A few won't come off so I will try to free them up on the car before I break them off and have to easy out them out of the hole. I've done that enough times to know it isn't fun. Snugged up the steering box while I was at it and that took a lot of wander out of the front end.

I put some spring inserts in the back springs to take up some of the sag but I need to replace the springs, they are shot. Bill A, if you read this and you have some good coil springs for a Hash let me know please, I'll come over and get them. The fronts don't look as bad. I think having the connie kit on the back might wear the springs out faster. I did pick up an inch and a half with the inserts though, but the springs are so bad I need to get them replaced.

  • At first, I though this was going to be a receipe thread. Check this out Harry.

  • Thanks Dave, just trying to make the topics interesting. One of these days I'll post a good Hash recipe and no one will read it.

  • You're welcome Harry. Your threads are interesting. Keep um coming! A receipe that no one will read? You must not have spent much time eating among fellow Hudson owners. In my neck of the woods, they're hearty eaters. Come to think of it, Harry's Hearty Hash might be something interesting to serve at a Hudson breakfast meeting.
