1930 and 1933 Hudsons

Greetings -

I just joined Classic Car.com. Since I am not in a position to own a classic automobile (my "collection" ranges from 1991 to 1993, to new to be "old", and to old to be "new", but they all run) I photograph antique automobiles and trucks for magazines, etc. Right now, I am looking for the following Hudsons to photograph

1930 Hudson 8 -- Brougham; Club Sedan; 7-Passenger Sedan; SunSedan

1933 Hudson 8 -- Terraplane 8; Pacemaker Standard and Major

Preferably, there are some of these cars in the vicinity of Iowa, Illinois, or Missouri, etc.

From reading the list yesterday, I guess I just missed a nice 1930 in central Iowa (what a loss!), and the 1933's are among the rarest on the planet.

I hate to see these old cars meet untimely circumstances after someone has put so much time and effort in them. I remember seeing photos in Hemmings Classic Car a couple of years ago of some cars destroyed in a California brush fire.

To me, no amount of insurance can ever replace such things.

  • There is a 1933 Terraplane 8 Coupe in Ottumwa Iowa. Which I turned over to my son. See my avatar.
