    Would the front shoes from a 49 Hudson Commodore and/or a 50 Hudson Super 6 work - or are the shoes for a Hornet unique to the Hornet only?

    I'm replacing both front brake systems with Pridemore kits so I'll just have shoes and drums as "NOS parts" laying around - destined for the scrap heap if no-one wants them...

    Harry,I'm not for sure,but I think the width is different.I don't think the 54 interchanges with the 55 and up.

    come on everyone.... this is a worthy cause. If you got spares laying around, just send them to Paul. It's going to a good cause. Treat it like a charity drive!



    I'd send you a pair, but I think the only pair I got are on my car, we relined mine. However, I might have a set in the basement, not sure. The only other set I know of, are in the trunk of my riv, and I think they are actually the shoes for that car.



    Paul, what about rear shoes, what else interchanges? will 48-54 all full size work? I think it will. Wasp, Pacemaker, superwasp, should all be different, right?

    PAULARGETYPE what I've got is your's if you want them...the parts aren't taken off either car yet ~ that should be done within the next 2-4 weeks ~ after that all I'd want is to be reimbersed for packing and shipping - I'll donate the parts you want left over from the conversion for free. :)

    The Pacemaker was the only stepdown with 1 3/4 wide front shoes.



    All Wasps, Super Sixs, Commadores, Hornets had 2 1/4 front, and All had 1 3/4 rear. thru 54

    Don't the Hornet shoes interchange with some years of the Ford Pickup trucks?
