54 Hornet Its Back ?
There is a 54 hornet on ebay It looks great from 40 ft, I think I saw this about a year ago from the denver area. Then it was for sale somewhere else about 6 months later I think this is the same car. Better look real careful.

Is that a factory color combination or not? I know things were tough in '54 but wow! Yellow can be kind of cool on certain cars but?0

My cat was sitting in my lap when I opened the link to that 54 - she started licking her chops and meowed, "Canary!!!!!"

As you can see from the engine compartment, the original color was probably Corenation Cream. At the time they brought out the Hornet Special, they also added two new colors - Lipstik Red and Green Gold. The color of this car is more vivid than Green Gold would have been.

Hi;
The 54 Hornet is our car. I purchased it last year out of Denver. I also purchased a 55 Hornet 4 door at the same time. I have had it for sale in the past but did not push to hard to sell it, as I kept having second thoughts. I have a 61 Imperial Lebaron torn down to the shell and a a 61 Newyorker with the front end off of it and am doing the finishing touchs on a 75 Lincoln Mark IV. I have a large faciltiy to work in with all the tools but I am only one man. It is hard to sell any of my cars, but I realize I cannot restore every car I have in my forseeable future so I have put it up for sale again.0 -
Hello, it looks like there is a lot of rust trying to pop out in places, is that true or is it just the quality of the pictures? I'm trying to get a feel about how much restoration is involved here.

The bottoms of the drop down foor pans have rust, I have outlined in red one picture. The rear back side with the chrome off of it has some rust. As far as Hudsons are concerned I believe the gravest concern is undercarriage rust. This Hudson was pretty much void of such, that is why I purchased it, keep in mind I do all of my own welding, body, mechanical and simple upholstery work. I usually deal with Imperials, but all the cars I have are somewhat unique and when finished I display them in National shows.0

Thank you, it looked like there were little rust spots poking out around the head lights and trim but I couldn't tell for sure. How does it run? What are it's problems other than the red circled areas?
