looking for a 48 262 engine

After restoring the body, chrome, interior, etc on my '48, the engine went south. I'm looking for a running 262 in the indy area (or a reliable maching shop)

I suggest check your local Machine Shops to get your own motor rebuilt may be your best option. If they are apprehensive tell them that you can obtain all the engine parts needed, including the specification manual through the HET Club Suppliers...Basically its all Labor Income for the Shop. Nothing any different than another old engine... If building a race motor would be different...
