Another company with ties to making Hudson engine performance parts

Barney cut his engine engineering teeth on a Hudson Hornet engine... making modifications and add on parts to make the engine go faster. Still in business with Flathead focus.

I think you will find that that Hudson has a Ford Flathead in it , If I am not mistaken, But I may be wrong. There is a nice writeup on Barney Navarro in The current Hot Rod magazine.

Historically, Barney was an inline 6 guy. His first lakes and street cars were inline 6s. One was a 32 Roadster with a 51 Hornet motor. Later in his life he tried to qualify a 700 HP inline Rambler 6 in an INDY car. His innovations were in the area of heads, lifters, and intakes. Unfortunately Barney has passed on... but his legacy is hidden in the shadow past of the current crop of flat head affectionatos.

This Months Hot Rod Magazine has a 9 page 'One of a Kind' Tribute to Barny Navarro along with the last hi-rise flathead Intake & Heads he made pictured in the 'Tubby' Hudson Hornet record holder. Barney held quite a few Patents and was quite an Inovative Person right to the end....

Does Navarro engineering make parts for Inlines? Last I checked, everything was new castings made from old molds for Ford Flatheads.
