It appears you have a 1951 Commodore four door sedan. They came in two engine choices. A 262 wide block Six cylinder and a 258 8 cylinder. There were three transmission options. Three speed manual, three speed manual with automatic over Drive and Hydra-matic (automatic). All would have had a single two bbl Carter Carb. Since it's a 57 year old car, many of these things may have changed over the years.

Gonna restore it? You won't regret it. There is an international Hudson Essex terraplane Club (HET) . There are many members world wide as well as chapters in various parts of the US and other foreign countries. These are wonderful cars to drive.
