shocking question?
i have a 31 hudson town sedan, today after months of getting the engine running half way decent, i atempted to take the very patient family around the block,. everyone loaded up 3 in back 2 in front. when i backed up i think the tire on the passenger side rubed the fender well.. it felt like the brakes were grabbing we are not huge people! is this common is there something i need to replace or repair?

take a look & see if the tire did in fact rub paint off the fender well.
you may just have the brake shoes on that wheel "hanging up".0 -
If you haven't had the car in the air and make sure the wheels turn freely it could be a brake shoe hanging up or a bad wheel bearing. What happened when you pulled it forward again? How does it drive with the family out of the car? I think I would put it up on jack stands and see if the wheels are wobbling or not turning true.

Are there tire marks inside the fender?

it is hard to tell with %100 certainty but it seems like there are signs on the drivers side, this car has sat for 25 plus years .0

If you didn't move it too far you probably won't have much of a mark but you should be able to see some sign that something was rubbing. Can you get everyone to load up again then look under the car and see what kind of clearance you have? Trick them if you have to.
