Junk 51 Commodore 8
Well to everybody who responded to my questions Thanks. I have tried everything anybody told me and anything I could think of and still can't get the bearing cap off, so I've decided after talking to an expert that the bearing must have spun or something. I have a parts car with a complete engine in it. It is locked up but I'm not sure the engine is locked or the tranny. I guess I'll pull the engine out of both cars and hope I can make one good engine out of two. It is going to be a lot of work but I've gone too far with this car to quit now. It is a shame because this car ran so good and has a good top end, don't smoke, very little blow by, 125 psi of compression on every cylinder. I did'nt notice that it had main bearings knocking till I put a new muffler on it. If anybody knows anything else, I am all ears.
