That's a mult-plate clutch. Hudson used that for a few years in the teens, not sure when they went to a single plate clutch.

Hudson went to the single disc in '27,for both Essex and Hudson. The Essex disc is different from the Hudson-them don't interchange.0

Yes, they are lots of fun, have done a couple, but will stick with doing the later Hudson-Terraplane ones. Lot less complicated.0

yeah, I don't know how many people actually offer rebuild services on these. And honestly, I bet good useable cores have got to be getting hard to find...
quite frankly, it is a wonderful piece of engineering...0
