A VERY disillusioned person.0

If I lost 95,000 $ buying a Pacemaker I'd need the kind for my heart too because of the thought of that much money going out the door. LOL0

Can you imagine what it would be worth if everything worked and it was brought back to its original condition ? and the rust was fixed and the fuel gauge worked and0

I've never seen one with original factory flames. Is that an ultra rare dealer option?0

I think this is why young people need to be taught the importance of decimal point placement. I have the same problem with the young people who work for me. They just put the dot whereever it's convienent.

Forget this guy! Lets find out who wants to trade a 59 Corvette for a 51 Pacemaker. I could buy one, maybe two, Hudson convertables with money I could sell a 59 Corvette for.0

Aaron, it depends on when it happened, a few years ago when Harleys were almost impossible to get your hands on I was offered a matching numbers 60 vette for my bike. People want what they want and will make foolish trades and decisions to get instant gratification. I still think this guy meant $9500.00

Someone offered 90k and owner is still in posession of the car? My dad the used car dealer would say "that's when two fools met."

I agree with you, but I don't understand the offer to trade for a restored 59 corvette. A complete 59 corvette parts car probably has more cash value than a Pacemaker sedan in #3 condition.
For all of you non-belivers, I too turned down an offer for 90k on my original Pacemaker sedan. It was from some guy in Argentina who wanted his business associate to bring me a money order for 95K and give him 5K cahsback along with the car0 -
Decimal point placement?! I ain't needin dat! I understand whats dey meant I gots me a public school edumacation!! LOL
For $95000 I could build me a Pacemaker from scratch. But I agree with you harry sometimes passions and hormones and some chrome and curves trump a buyer's rationality. Just look at BJ Auctions! haha0 -
I'm sure he meant 95,000 Pesos. Slight misunderstanding. The 'Vette was probably a die cast.0

Terry, how was the cruise last weekend. Once again work got in the way of other activities so I didn't get over to Riverside.

It was great! There were about 1200 cars. They normally cut off registration at 1000 cars but they apparently reached that number a couple of weeks ago, so they let some unexpected arrivals in Friday night and Saturday.
My Hornet was the Hudson there, but I did meet a "young" guy named Joe that tried getting in late Saturday that was driving a '49 (I think) chopped
Coupe. It had a hoped up 308 with twin H. I didn't get to talk to him much, but he said he used to work for Bill A. Nice kid and a pretty cool car.
The format of the show is a lot like Route 66, but a lot fewer cars and spectators, which was nice. They had 19 blocks closed off for us to cruise. and it would only take about 15 - 20 minutes to make the loop. I burned off about $50 dollars of gas (around 3 1/2 gallons) just crusin around. As usual the "52 Kahuna" got it's share of attention. The event phogapher took a ton of pictures of the car. Not to bad for a "beater." She said that she gets a lot of hits on her website from people looking at the pictures from last years show, and that the Hudson gets the most hits of all the pictures. It made my head swell a bit!
We definately have to get together at one of these shows this summer.
