Oil Pump gasket

HI Lance,
Both gaskets are available from Dale Cooper at www.hudsonmotorcarco.com . This is one of the few places I know of that you can get these individually outside of an overhaul gasket kit. Hope this is a help.
Note: Before removing the oil pump, be sure to rotate your engine to #1 top dead center (note the location the ignition rotor is pointing). This way on reassembly you can be sure that the rotor is pointing at the proper location after you reinstall the pump. If you line up the oil pump drive gear a tooth or more off, you'll not be able to start the engine since the ignition timing will be way off.

You can replace the oil pump cover gasket without removing the pump from the car. Remove two of the three pump mounting bolts and loosen the third then remove the two small cap screws that secure the cover to the pump body. Now you can rotate the cover exposing the gasket in it's groove in the pump body. Remove the old gasket with a pick tool, clean the groove and grease the new gasket installing it in the reverse order. be sure not to rotate the pump body in the block so as not to damage it's mounting gasket.
