Help me identify these parts?

I just acquired the part labeled #1, which has gotten me wondering which example is the correct ones for my car ('52 Hornet convertible). I am aware that the #2 goes on the sedans, as our '52 Hornet sedan has identical ones.



I know these parts frame the outside of the windshield. My question for the gurus:



1) Which model and/or body style does each example go to?

I'll take a guess, is there a difference here between hardtop/convertible and sedan/coupe? not sure why there would be, maybe one is a 54?

I would be willing to be that #1 is definately 1954 and #2 is 1952 & 1953

Russell: currently traveling... but when I get back home I will compare pictures of the 52-3 and 54 cars. I you have some clear pictures you can find the answer to your questions.

The parts are for the front roof piller exterior . The part marked number one is for the 1954 model year .The second part is for the same location on the body for the 1952 and 1953 Hudsons. Your model Hornet convertible would use item number two.Those trim pieces were used on all Hornet models for 52.

Now, if anyone needs these pieces (#1 in the pics), please let me know as I have both sides in EXCELLENT shape. Be happy to buff and polish them for you to boot. I don't have a '54 and won't have one any time soon, I'm sure.
