Correct Stepdown VIN Plate Rivets?
I am looking for a good copy of the original VIN plate rivets for my 49 (I removed mine when doing the body work/paint).. The originals had a solid head, unlike a pop rivet. Anyone have a source? I am thinking it is almost like a body nail, similar to those on page 197 of restoration specialties catalog.

I think you might find a reasonable substitute used on Model A Fords. They have a "drive rivet" that is used on data plates. They should look very correct. Most suppliers have them.0
