I just got a new computer and for once actually read some of the instructions. I switched to Firefox and in the process found out that if you hold down the control key and hit the plus sign, the web page display gets bigger. It also works with Internet Explorer. You all probably know this already, since I'm not exactly the sharpest tool in the ol' Snap-on drawer...

Conversely if you hold down the ctrl key and hit the minus sign, the screen gets smaller.

Technical tidbits come in all sorts of disguise!!!!

Only works on Netscape or Modzilla Firefox. Don't work on IE.

It is possible that this only works with a high-speed connection, also...
  • With Apple Safari it's the Apple key and + (or -).

...Or, if your mouse has a wee little wheel betwixt the two buttons, hold CTRL whilst rotating the wheel. Even faster way to go up and down in size!

Not sure if it works with Internet Explorer, since I never use it anymore.
  • Hey Jon, the wheel deal works on my Yahoo !! Thanks buddy , now I can read the fine print ! Bud
