Don't really know if it's the BEST or not , but I used plain old DAP WELDWOOD contact glue lik you would use to put on counter tops and such from the hardware store. Got the mat in place and then beat the ??? out of it with a big rubber hammer . Year and a half and all is well. Bud0

FYI
I echo using Dap Weldwood Glue available at Lowes, etc. I prefer the 'Gel' type...There has been no end to Dap Glue uses for restoration work. I even used it on the soles of my Nike's recently as a temporary fix and still holding after walking acres of swap meets....0 -
I know the product you are talking about , we dont have that brand here, but ados and bear have products with similar properties
