You need to get the proper coil to go with it. I can go and dig around in my receipts for the model #. I recently installed this on my '50 C sedan.
  • I also bought the coil but it really wasn't needed as far as I could tell, at least now I have a new coil with my electronic ignition. I kind of wish I had converted the car to twelve volts but I've spent enough now keeping it six volts to not change now. What I am going to do though is put a 12 volt battery in the trunk and a solar charger on the Connie kit so I can run a twelve volt stereo and cd player. It's driving me crazy trying to find something decent to listen to while driving.

  • I am running the 6 volt version... used the OEM coil and all is well....

Harry.... I have the 12volt battery in trunk battery box... solar panel charger sitting on the package tray.... use the battery to run the blower motor in my AC and to turn on and off the clutch and run the XM boom box...

I figured out how to use 6 volts on the compressor... but the 6 volt blower does not move enought air for my AC... so went back to 12 volts on these items... my 6 volt radio works swell... but the selection during the day is .... near non existant... AM is a nite time radio... being a gospel music fan helps too...
  • Ken, out here AM works great during the day but not too many choices. At night I get talk radio or Disney Radio or a couple of hispanic stations I use to hone my language skills on. That and about three stations that play any ball games that are on. What charger are you using? Someone posted something about the charges the car shippers use being sold on ebay but I never found out what make or model they are.
