Other than the low price, where does the auction say it is not running?0 -

It doesn't say it isn't running but you'd have to test drive it to know for sure. Person who posted has zero rating so they're new to Ebay (or something else is up) but looks to me as though it's something that's a car that has been sittin a while which they had plans for and never got around to. Who knows what it needs... would have to get to it and giver her a test drive. Bet that red interior was sharp and seemed like a great idea in the late '70's - early '80's when it was probably installed. hahaha
I'd drive it home if I could.0 -
Boy, after what I found in my Hornet 308 and my 40 eight which were both running, I'd take these engines apart and check everything before going out on the road with them.
The 308 had 5 broken compression rings, and worn out exhaust guides and a couple of bad valve seats.
The 254 had 2 bad cam bearings and 3 bad mains and 2 sets of lifters in crooked, as well as 3 or 4 broken studs in the exhaust manifold. Also, where the horizontal string was supposed to be packed into the front main, is was lead. Doesn't shear too well either. Bent my puller before I found it.0
