I love it he wants to replace it with a 350. Priceless. I look for guys like this to get engines off. Their loss my gain....0

I LOVE IT! I have a 350, flat top pistons, balanced, deep oil pan, cam, gapless rings etc etc etc. presently set up for oval track use, but changing the oil pan will make it a cool street engine. The engine stand included. Over 3K invested. I would like to get rid of this and replace it with a 308 preferably with twin H....will trade even... And I'm NOT kidding.... Me and the 350 are here in Florida. lets get together..Any takers?0

Do you guys know the person you are openly demeaning has been a forum member Since 2005 and has just recently posted the TwinH setup would be for sale through this forum?
I'm all for speaking your mind, 1st ammendment and all...but - come on - If you have to call people "goofball and stupid" for wanting to build a car to their dream not yours - I'd suggest a better place for those kind of comments would be on a Private message or the chat room.
All you've accomplished here is potentially alienating an existing Forum member and potential source for RARE parts
Remember ~ you might not have an appreciation or need for these parts - but others on this forum might.0 -
Rambo.. I could not agree more!!0

you guys need to lighten up,i've been called far worse things than "goofball" over on the HAMB...0

I agree with Dan. Bill is well known in the club, and is far from being a goof ball. Of course I could be called a goof ball also as I plan on a 300 ford 6cyl in my coupe. Provided my health allows.

Yorg, I agree. If the person in question has been on the forum for so long he would have known to list it here first. This is really a pretty calm list as far as getting in each others faces go. I had the feeling the person was testing the waters on the HAMB, you know, see if someone would offer him exactly what he wanted for his 308 instead of getting lowballed by fellow Hudson owners, I don't know, I'm just wondering why if he is a forum member he didn't offer it here first. It's also possible he didn't want any guff about putting a Chevy smallblock into his Hudson. I know I would be hesitant about making such an announcement on this forum.

Out of cuiosity, I sent Bill an inquiry on his asking price. He wants $1000-$1200. He did not elaborate on condition, or what type of air filters were included.

I like most guys in the club hate to see another drivetrain put in a Hudson rather than another hudson motor. I usually dont even look at these cars at the shows but pass by them not interested, but to blast the guy for doing something we do not agree with might be going alittle to far. I know i sometimes comment on this forum about 100 grand Hudson convertibles etc. and how crazy that is but its like my late father used to say this is where two fools meet the guy who asked the crazy price and then the guy who pays it.0

I agree 100% Dan. I guess its the word "stupid" that does it for me. I won't give original parts away to people like that.....I'll find a nicer person to give or just scrap them!
And he's making a good swap anyway, most likely wants a daily driver. 308's are like SBC....everyone has one or wants one! lol0 -
Well, I sent him an email.. Hope he isn't upset by the tone on this forum and responds. I really would like to make the trade. He would be getting a great deal if we can connect..0

Calling someone a goof ball is a little extreme and uncalled for. wish he was closer , Id like to get a 308 or two - maybe Im a goof ball for wanting one ??0
