Running and driving!

Hey guys! Some of you were interested in the progress of rejuevinating my 28 Hudson Roadster. Sandblasted the rims, painted them with etching primer and bill hearsh chassis black, (the only {Restoration} I've done), Five new 4-1/2 wide white B.Fs+tubes&flaps, all electric works (didn't have to do anything)What?, Hudnutzs' solvent formula freed up the clutchplate,(Update on procedure, take a pole and force the clutch pedal down to release the pressure on the disc while the solvent works, if not the clutch may never free up. I emptied the first round of solvents which came out dark brown and filled it a second time and after a second round of soaking and cranking, it just freed up). Already had the engine runing great,(miracle), so I took it out on the street and drove it as far as my neighbors house, backed up, parked it, took pictures.Showed it off. This car has seen the sun and rain for the first time in 54 years. It is now officially an automobile again. As I don't have plates yet, my friend is coming over with a dealer plate this week and we're going to take her for a spin to see how good the clutch is and if it's driveable (long distance). If all goes well she will soon be at shows where she belongs. Thanks to all who have helped me since Nov. 07 as I am deeply in debt to you all. p.s. keep you posted! Phil

be sure & double clutch it and it will probably want to be shifted rather fast. You'll find there is a certain idle speed at which it will shift best.

    A '28 H rd. a wonderful car, most handsome!
