tom, they are the same cab, the 8 cyl carb only went to 1952 Last Hudson 8 only jetting was slightly different smaller needles and seats for the 254 cu in 8 as compared to the 308 cu in Hornet 6 bill albright0

Tom, According to a Carter spec. sheet the only difference is the metering rods. The 773 S (8) calls for a 75-724 and the (6) 776 S calls for a 75-754. Another book I have shows the specs. for these metering rods and they are so close to being the same that you probably would't notice the difference. The parts sheet lists 2 different accelerator pump numbers. I don't know what the difference would be. The sheet shows some minor differences in the adjustments on the carbs. Norm0
