Anyone seen these Faux Supercharger pipes??

Here's the link to my photo album. You'll notice the faux supercharger pipes on the fenders. They were put on around 1950 (see picture #2 of my car circa 1950).
I saw a similar pair advertised for sale on classicaccessories.com. The guy told me he had fourteen inquiries and sold them for $800 bucks...
I'm sure that these were available from JC Whitney or similar in the day. Anyone know who made these? Thanks, Niels
