Here is one car you guys don't get to see in the U.S.A.

It is a 1936 sloper built by Ruskin truly an Australian built Terraplane.

Do you have any other views of it? I own a '36T sedan and I would like to compare the differences.

Sorry Richard, I don't have any other views of that sloper, but, it is completely different to a sedan.

Richard, this is another shot I found on the '36 sloper, may give you a better idea.

Thank you. It appears to use the same rear fenders as a '36T sedan, so I would love to see a rear shot. I guess that I will have to wait until I get to Australia. I do plan to travel there eventually.
  • I think Ruskin did a neater job of bodying than Briggs.
  • richard- dont delay!! i had been waiting about 8 years to travel and i really wish id done it sooner!! in the end its just a matter of making it happen- things like this rarely fall in your lap.

i did it backwards to your intention though- i went from australia to the usa. the small things that make our countries unique are staggering. i think id be less surprised if i went to a country with a completely different culture and just accept all the differences for being just "how they do it"

i hope any of that made sense!

It is definitely on our list. We are travelling to Turkey in September, so that will be our big trip for this year. We try to do a major trip every couple of years as the budget allows. Both my wife and I are major travel hounds and I always try to locate Hudson and Hudson folks on our trips. It is great to meet new people and see new places.
  • Cappadocia is a must-see! I've been all over Turkey, including Ankara, Istanbul, Diyabakir, Konya, Antalya, and other places. Pretty cool place, overall - bring US Dollars or Euros!

I know this wasn't directed at me, but would be interested in some specific "small things" . What small things have most intrigued you?

I like the slopers, too. Think they look a little better than the "humpbacks". Wish we had some here.
