Are the outside edges of the '37 boards covered by the rubber board matting or are they painted body color and left bare?

I'm finally getting off my procrastinating butt this week and putting the boards on the Brougham, but I need to know what is correct!

  • Hi,

Minne were covered by the mat all the way over the outside edge. I have a utility coupe, which is the cheapie model of the 37s, however.

If my old memory serves me correctly they are completly covered unlike the 34/35 H&T.

Hi Pat---The outside edge of the running board is covered by the rubber mat for 37.---Cliff Minard.
  • I just stripped the covering off of ours - they were covered all the way down. I have a 4 dr & need the pass. side running board- the one I have has maybe 1" that is repairable. Someone had a major hit on that side & did a number on the running board. Any help would be appreciated.
  • OK, that is what I needed to know. I really did not want to have to paint the outer edge of the boards the same as the body. I'm going to shoot the boards black, then put the rubber on them.

    Thanks!
