Seller states that it has all of the hard to find items and then goes on to say that it's missing the rear seat and pump for top. Nevertheless, any rag top under $10,000 is worth consideration.

    that's more like it! hehe
  • Looks like this is the convertible that Jim Harmon had for sale some time back?
  • "This is a very complete 1949 Hudson Commodore convertible that Needs a COMPLETE restoration. It is essentially very complete and then some, because it comes with duplicate parts that were removed from a 49 sedan. It has all the hard to find items: engine,(six), chrome trim, tranny, bumpers, glass, top bows, dash and instruments, bumpers, stainless...also factory shop manual and parts book. It is missing pump for top and window lifts, the rear seats (unique to a convertible) and some external engine parts (front cover). The body is pretty good with some easily repairable dents and some surface rust...no rot. The frame has some rust in the rear that can be repaired. It comes with extra glass which is good. Convertibles are very hard to find and when properly restored are quite valuable."

my thoughts are that there must be something about this one to make it not that far off the trailer and be for sale already.... the faint of heart need not apply. Seems like a reasonably priced starting point, IMHO, not as neat as a SWB convertible, or a hornet, but a convertible nonetheless....

Oh, and all those HTF items, that's all good, but the painfuly impossible to find items, which the seller does list, are not there. The price of doing a convertible, I guess. if they were easy to do, everyone would have one.
