54 Hornet-Front door window regulator removal

I want to remove the front door glass and window regulator to treat some rust in the upper part of the door. My Hudson Body Service Manual says in part to "release regulator cross arms from glass channel". I don't see any mechanism to "release" the cross arms. How do you do that?
