I'd like your guys comments on the comparitive rarity and value of a 1948 Commodore Eight Coupe Vs the Commodore Six Coupe model. The serial number is 484110551. Thanks

  • The guy here who would know about rarity is AaronD.IL. He did a spread sheet of all the cars listed in the HET roster and can tell you how many are registered with the club.

    2007 roster data I have lists only 6 1948 Commodore 8 coupes that can be properly identified as such in the roster. For some reason there's not many '48's in the HET club in general.... may be many more outside the club.

    The Roster lists only 4 1948 Commodore 6 Club Coupes that are properly identified with the given information. only 120 1948 Hudson's of all models are listed in the HET Club roster. Seems low being it was a good production year.

    Frankly I wish the 8's would get more love. There's only around 933 Hudson's sporting inline 8's listed in the club of ALL years. Commodore 8's were the most expensive most trimmed out Hudson's you could buy in 1948 Top of the line! There was a super nice looking coupe outside the club I found on the web that was listed in Canada. No price posted though.
