A good miosture cure poly wouldnt do them any harm, if there is no rot and they stay dry they will last just about for ever i presume they are ash?

Fortunately for me, when I got my '37 TP, the bows had been reinstalled after the PO painted the car before I took delivery of the car. I don't remember what he preserved them with - he told me, but???0

Epiglass have a product called "Epidure". It is a chemically hardened varnish. When thinned down and painted on, it soaks right into the wood, and cures. Works wonders on wood spokes too.

Chris, What model 36T do you have? There seems to be a growing number of 1936 T's being restored. There were 5 at the 2007 HET National in Auburn, including my '36 T custom, series 62 4 door sedan. That was an all time high. My roof bows were in excellent shape, so I just re-installed them after I put insulation in the roof. I did use a resin based wood restoration product on my rear quarter windows as they were in pretty bad shape, but I left the roof bow alone.0

My car is a 36 Terraplane Delux 4door. My bows are in great shape but my rear 1/4 window wood is rotten and needs all of it replaced. I am not quite restoring it but the suspension and body will be stock, just changing the motor and trans. to a Ford Flathead.0

opps someone used that f*** word LOL
If you can get some teak to use for the rear window frame you will never have to replace it again even if it leaks
