:) Finally, I took the '37 Terraplane for a long ride, well about 5miles. Made it to the mini mart where I put in just over 5 gallons of gas. Onro the hiway I went, problem. clutdh slips, I have adjusted it a couple times already, I will try again. Next problem ios the engine dies when coming to a stop. O ahve 5urned the idle screw way up but the engine still dies. Starts right up however/ All in all the car drove great and just have to keep working the bugs out. I forgot to mention that it did smoke badly/ Hopefully in time that will stop. The cars has had little if any real use in the last ten plus years.I have most everything working exept the dome light as of now. The gauges and speedometer do not work however. Have a great weekend. You should definitley drain the clutch and put some new fluid in it. Make sure to use the right amount. Have you checked your timing? I am still working the bugs out of my '36T after a complet restoration. I finally have fixed my timing problem, it was back firing and dying every time I stopped. Now it seems to run OK.

Could be the carb float is set too high. Try lowering it 1/8 inch.
