Howdy,
I was working on setting up the steering wheel / seat relationship today. The steering column is from a Grumman Step Van and seat from a Lincoln Town Car Signiture Series.
Peace,
Chaz

The top is much too far away from your head

The seat position looks good, I know how much work it was ;);)

Are we going to chop the top too?

I've always felt the stepdown would be a good candidate for a reverse pie-cut chop

    3:1
    2:1

That'd be 3" in the front tapered to a 1" cut in the rear etc...

That pie-cut would give the profile of the roof a little 'tude :D

But then you'd have to pancake the front of the hood as well ~ then there's also the issue of taking 1" out of the lower beltline...I got all kinds of ideas and no time to execute ;)

    YEP ! IT'LL BE CHOPPED !
As per the photo I sent you and you did some Photoshop work on. One of the problems with the huge roof is that it can't just be brought straight down vertically. It looks awkward that way and needs to come down more in the front to get the proportions correct. It just takes a LOT of time!
    Peace,
    Chaz
  • Looks like you're ready for cruising Chaz! Nice work and I like watching the progress. Cool man!

    Thanks Jay,
You have been in my thoughts lately.
Another update! Working under the hood with steering linkage today.
Note the new tubular control arms!
    Peace,
    Chaz
