Hudsons headed to the press!

A few more...0

Are you advising us that we may still obtain parts from these, if we act quickly? And if so, can you give us some contact information for the owner?0
-
As you can see, there is not much left, and you would have to come take off the parts you want yourself, as the owner is unable to...Many of you long time Hudson people may know the owners- Ray and Teen Stevens of Venice Center NY.They had a yearly meet for many years during the '70's-80's that attracted Hudsons from all over the East Coast. I have many fond memories from those gatherings!0
-
a few more relics recently yanked from the underbrush...0
-
I say put them out of their misery!0
-
Seems to me that there is a lot of salvageable parts and trim there.0
-
What a shame. At the same time I'm sure if someone got one of those cars and hot rodded it someone else would say "what a shame". It does look like their are some parts worth saving (stainless, trim, etc.) but if nobody got um' after 30 years then what should the owner do? Right? To bad, but my yard is full and my bank account is empty.:(0
-
yeah doesn't look like a lot is left but some of that trim....maybe that 8cyl manifold if it's not cracked..... odds and ends.... frames, rims, (if any are not rotted through. etc.0
-
I nearly jumped out of my chair, I thought they were in Auburn Ky, not Ny.
Wishful thinking. A good Hudson junk-fisherman could still find some good stuff. I'd bet money I could find pieces I need/want. Too bad I'm not closer.

This is only six hours from me.
Does anyone need something? I have this week available to go pull trim and a few other parts (I am needing an unbent wheel for my 50 Pacemaker).0 -
Anything stainless very Hudson specific not pitted beyond recognition ough to get pulled and saved. 8 cyl manifolds that aren't cracked.... someone will eventually want/need those.....as for rims, getting Hudson stock ones... they sure aren't making/stamping more of those so if you need an unbent wheel definately get it.0
-
I'd be interested in the taillight lenses, or any of the stainless off the '37 Terraplane or Hudson, and especially the hood trim and clips, if at all salvageable!0
-
If you haven't left yet, I need the stainless of a 52 or 53 roof rain gutter, both sides. You are close enough to me I can pick it up at your place, they are too long and flimsey to be shipped. I don't have enough time to get to NY for two or three weeks.0

I am leaving Fl for a trip to NY this weekend. Going all the way up to Plattsburgh area. I would love to stop by and see what can be salvaged for my 49. Did I miss the contact info? Where in NY are these cars?
OOps, Found it and also got the address and phone number from the roster. Another reson to be a member of HET. I'll call them on the way up.:)

Here's a beautiful '33 that Ray has stashed away and IS NOT going to the crusher! Also, the local paper did a nice write up on Ray and Teen Stevens and all of the Hudsons they've had over the years....0

Here's a link to the article. It may be only good for 8/04 http://www.auburnpub.com/articles/2008/08/04/lake_life/lakelife01.txt0

Interesting sideline to this. About 25 years ago I was going to buy the Terp 8 Chassis from this fellow as extra parts for my car. He called me and told me that if I wanted it I better come and get it as there was another fellow interested. Now we all know that Terr. 8 parts are hard to find and I am willing to share, so I inquired on who the other person was so we could share the parts. He wouldn't tell me,. I figured same old ruse to get me to buy it quick, Guess where it stayed. That is an original T8 engine tho. Dont need it now0

I hope SuperDave was able to get up there.
I was not and I aplogize to those that had hopes I would be ablet o pull some stainless.
I found myself facing a medical challenge that has kept me down for this week.0 -

I'm as far as southern South Carolina ..Moveing at a snails pace. Getting 8.1 MPG in the MH. 58 MPH.. Gas is getting cheaper. bought gas at home in Brevard County Fl for $3.76 @ gallon, Georgia at exit 3, I-95 was $3.66. Keeps this up I'll be in tall cotton. Might have a few bucks left for Hudson parts. LOlL.....0 -
