I'd suggest looking through the catalog of Restoration Specialties, in the trim clip or molding clip section. You may be able to adapt something there.

Of course, you might hit the jackpot and find someone with a glass jar of the original clips, or maybe someone has salvaged some of these from an old Terraplane.... check with 'the usual suspects' who advertise in the WTN.0 -

On my 36 I used some of the original fasteners and bought the remaining
ones from Restoration Specialties. You may have to make some modifications
to their fasteners to fit but they will work.

You can actually buy new ones at any antique Ford parts place, they come in two sizes and the Ford ones have these wires that shoot off in a couple of different directions, break these off, which is easy, and the work perfectly. You need two sizes to do the '36T grill. By the way, lots of antique Ford resto stuff works on Hudson, they seemed to buy from the same suppliers. I happen to live very close to C & G Ford and after they almost threw me out because I came in wearing a Hudson shirt, we have marvelled at how much of their repro stuff works for Hudson.0
