A little pricey - but I thought someone might be interested in a trailer of this type and vintage!

1946 Teardrop trailer sold through Sears. Original wood was covered by fiber glass mat matrial which is pealing off in big sheets. Would need to be recovered or cleared. Wood is in great condition (NO ROT). Has inside bed thick dense foam. Has open kitchen area in rear. Has cupboards inside, two levels. Can sleep 2 people up to 6 feet tall. Tows like nothing is there

Nah, saw the one I want today. I went to the Nethercut they have an early forties or late thirties Pierce Arrow trailor that was about twenty feet long. Looked like it self contained, cool old trailor.:D0

Hi Dan that looks like a BIG Dog House (mobille home) For Rambo . But would look verry smart behind your stepdown . All it needs is a little paint and A/C and you to are good to go  LOL Hudson Dave0

Actually, the price is pretty much in-line for the condition. I traded an aluminum teardrop for a street rod project in 1987. My wife still reminds me of that major &^%*-up on my part when she sees a teardrop. She loved the trailer and hated the street rod...needless to say, I got rid of the rod pretty quickly.0

If only it were a 49 trailer!
I think if I where to get a vintage trailer I'd opt for a fiberglass version Scamp, Uhaul, etc/// as they have more rounded contours to match the Stepdown.0 -

Hate to bring this up because I know you have plenty of projects already. But, maybe you could make one that kind of looks 49ish? Maybe something like this?0 -

Cool idea..., you're right though, I've got too many projects already...I'll add the trailer it to the "todo" list...somewhere between paying my taxes and death
Maybe I'm just hording cars (or too compulsive ) ...but I feel things are getting close to "critical mass", by that I mean I have a collection of tools - parts - and the shop space that are finally starting to come together...
So, barring another setback, I should be moving some projects off the list soon!0
