Modern paint match for '37T color
Hi everybody, well here's my situation: A few years back I had my '37T Coupe body, without grill, hood, trunk lid, etc., painted a stock '37 Royal Maroon color based on a Sherwood Williams Hudson-Terraplane chip chart. Stuff happened, years go by, now I am trying to paint the rest of the sheet metal (except the fenders which will be black) the same color.
Problem: My auto paint suppliers can't match the color by code, because their database doesn't go back that far. I have a chip chart, but it isn't big enough - they need a 3" x3" piece to do a color scan. I don't have a piece that big without cutting out of say, the firewall, and I sure don't want to do that.
Is there any possible way to get the '37 Royal Maroon color in a modern paint code? Help!
Thanks for any assistance out there!
John
