This is a nice looking 42 Club Coupe.
Looks clean, well built, interior was nicely done - although I'd do something different with the gauges and the color

Great looking car, but like each of you I would have done a few things different. However, for understatement, they did a great job with it. I have decided that adding class is simply a statement of how much you want to spend. My major changes would have been color, dash, leather, and I hate those "Nerf" bars used for the bumper. They did such a great job with the "smoothie" bumper on the back, the same style "smoothie" on the front would have been great. The 42 bumper has a lot of style, I would have stayed with original bumper. Great looking car--any idea what it sold or will sell for?0

I have a friend who has a 1940 Chev Coupe Custom. It is amazing how similar it is to the 1942 Hudson Coupe. The designers must have had coffee together before going to work.0

As a owner of a 42 Commodore Eight Club Coupe and a 42 Super Six sedan, I don't believe that car is a 42. I think its a 40-41. I know it's probably had several modifications but the rear fender opening is round like the 40-41, while it should be rectangular on a 42-47, the front fenders are longer under the headlights like a 40-41 in the front without the front aprons used on the 42-47, and the general lines of the rear of the car are stubbier like a 40-41. The only thing I see that looks like a 42 is the two chrome hood bars over the custom grille. The 40-41 had similar bars though, could just be the angle. Also, 40-41 did have running boards not the flaired rocker panels but upon closer inspection those on that car are not the same as the factory flairs on 42-47. I think the rocker panel area on this car has been modified.
I could be wrong but I'm almost positive it's not a 42.0
