1938 hudson country club
:picking up the body all freshly painted from the shop this week. we are going to set back on the frame at the shop and bolt it down. my question is did/nt it orginally have some type of material on the top of the frame as a cushion where it meets the bottom of the body? any ideas on what to use now? inner tube rubber? need something that won,t stay wet. thanks paul

The answer is yes, there were a series of thin spacers, my guess is approx. 1/8", and the stuff is probably still available through restoration supply companies. So, hang in there and I'm sure someone will come along with the correct information before long!0
