FINALLY something fits without modifying it!

Sometimes I feel I'm my own worst enemy as Pogo says! Here I am with a '51 Hudson with an "80 Camaro front clip and an LS1 Chevy PS pump in it needing PS hoses. I've been all over town looking for special fittings for the PS so I could have hoses made for it. After more than a week looking I finally figured out that since I couldn't find the correct fittings I would purchase an original PS hose and have it cut and custom made using these fittings. Lo and Behold just for grins I tried installing it straight from the box. IT FIT, IT FIT! Yahoo!!
Peace,
Chaz

    Zombie,
I have loads of pics of it. I took pics so I could remember how everything went back together. What specifically do you need?
BTW, the rear of the Camaro clip mounts directly to the Hudson cross member which gives a good ride height. There are also different clip lengths if you need that info.

    ES,
An R&P would be great. My problem was money at the time. I am building this on a super tight budget. I picked up the complete clip including all suspension, rotors and pads and brake lines including the mastercylinder for $125.
A friend of mine has taken a power rack and made brackets to fit it to an older suspension. Worked great!
    Peace,
    Chaz

Here's a few more pics of "making everything fit". Good clearances on the radiator and steering shaft. I will need to cut off lower tab of compressor to clear the tubular control arms though.

That looks like nice clean work. Keep the pictures coming, how about some of the frame area where it looks like you replaced a bunch.:)

Chaz is really doing a super job! It's amazing how much room he has to work with inside the engine bay. The radiator is currently behind the rad. support and there is probably still 8" or 9" clearance to the pulleys ('course if you look closely, the engine has been moved rearward and set into the firewall just a little. Plenty of room for PS, PB, AC.

Pity Hudson didn't have the R&D money for a V8. The installation application wouldn't have been a stretch in a stepdown, for sure.
