Use Dexron 3 Automatic Transmission oil, have used it for 40 years with no problems. Available at any spare parts store.

Do not use ATF that is used by Ford as it has a lower boiling point and when hot will cause the clutch to slip.

You can get the real thing through the HET Club store and through the Clutch Guy in the back of the WTN.

The reason we use ATF is the cost of freight from the USA to Aust when we can buy ATF over the counter and does the same job, not saying that your fluid is no good but just convenient for us here.
  • In the specifications I downloaded from the internet for my 28 they wrote, 4 oz. kerosene, 4 oz heavy oil, (I used 30w). Works just fine, cost me nothin'. That's what they used before Hudsonite. Phil
