If they are that decent to restore each one will bring more than that amount...

I posted a complete reply in the "Discussions" Forum. You might want to look at it there.

In other words, can you get a minumum of $500 for each of them in order to at least make back your investment (plus a bit to pay for their transporting)? The answer would be yes, assuming that there is enough salvageable in each one, to justify someone's buying them. Because these are "everyday" body styles, and assuming there is a great deal of restoration necessary, these are probably of parts-car quality. But if at least one or two fenders from each one are usable, and perhaps the bodies are not eaten through with rust, they are probably worth at least $500 apiece. If there are a lot of salvageable items on each one, then you have an even better chance of making your money back, and more.

The reason I'm hedging here, is that these cars appear to have "sat out" for a number of years, and every year they do so, they deteriorate. Take a close look at each and ask yourself the question, "if I was forced part these out in order to make any money, what would the parts bring?" If all the sheet metal is rusted through and badly dented, and the engine's siezed up, and the weather has gotten to the interior, then the cars might only be worth what you could get for the stainless steel trim. Be cautious when buying "field cars".
  • Jon, I don't think these sat out for long. I think these were stored inside for some time, then recently, maybe 5 years ago, give or take... pushed outside...
