original 51/52 Hudson parts for sale
I have some original 51/52 Hudson (Hornet) parts for sale. can someone tell me where you go to post parts like this, i thought i would try this before going to ebay. these parts were removed from the car over 40 years ago and been in boxes in the garage since so there is little weathering.

Here is the most obvious place. The WTN and e-bay aswell.0

Give us a list and/or pictures if you have them. You could probably sell whatever you have here on the forum.0
-
If you're not in a rush, you can also have them listed in the classified section of the Hudson club magazine, the White Triangle News ("WTN", mentioned above). I believe the next ad deadline is December 1. To do this for free, you have to have the intervention of a club member; I'd be glad to help. Drop me a line at HETdetailed@verizon.net, but delete the HET from the address before sending.
I suggest this because, even though we have several hundred devotees of this forum, the magazine has a circulation of 3500 Hudson enthusiasts, a somewhat larger number!0 -
i'm still looking for a 1951 rear window for a coupe

ok, thanks for response, a list from memory here would be hubcaps, headlight rings/bezels, underdash heater unit w/blower motor(says climate control), pushbutton radio, 2 red twin-H air cleaners w/filters, vacuum operated fan(clamps to dash for air on driver?, green steering wheel w/horn ring and center emblem, the chrome dash bezel with the big speedometer and clock w/wiper control and windshield squirter (they had squirters then??), ashtray (this is not in real good shape), whatever else is in the bottom of the box. sorry, no glass or fenders or major stuff, the car itself was long gone years ago, uncle was a Hudson nut and put the engine in his Chris-Craft boat. i did have the complete engine (twin-H flathead 6) and overdrive transmission but that was hauled off. oh yea, there is an (underdash?) overdrive control handle with a cable on it. i can take pics of anything of interest and email them.

I may be able to help. I have about 6 stepdown rear windows. If you can mail me a paper template, I will check my used rear windows.

I sent you an e-mail as well.0

I finally got to the bottom of the box of parts and found a couple more items i didnt see to begin with. These 2 would be a cigarette lighter w/the same knob design as the radio, and the dome light switch that goes in the doorframe.

Maybe Dennis has a spam filter? So far, no response to my email. Anyone else heard from him?0

I sent him an email through here regarding the breathers. He responded once to that. However I haven't heard back since. I always have to remember that not everyone checks their email as often as I do.
Hopefully we will here back.0 -
ok sorry guys, i have been looking in the wrong place for responses, these list backwards to me so all i was seeing is the first page. have a devil of a time getting decent pics with this cheap camera. can i put up pics here? if not then PM me to send you pics to your email. Somebody wanted the radio and hubcaps but i dont know where to send those pics. the highest bidder did get the air cleaners and the steering wheel. 2 of you wanted the overdrive control and i still have the cigarette lighter, ash tray, underdash heater/fan unit, etc. whatever you guys dont want i will list on ebay but i wanted the club/restorers first crack. im still with you here.

Steve, i have a pic of the radio now and will get the hubcaps, let me know where to send them.

anyone interested in this 51/52 Hudson dash panel with the speedometer and clock and wipers control?
Dennis0 -
An emphatic YES! got any pics?
Let me know.0 -
Just an FYI- I bought a set of Twin-H aircleaners from Dennis and they are outstanding... and they were extremely well packed. Thanks again Dennis!0

That's good to know. Really, all I need is the numeral plates for speedo and clock for a '52 COMM/HORN, which are '52 specific, but extra parts are never a bad thing.0

Dennis,
Got the steering wheel today! WOW what a beauty. Can't wait until i can get in installed. Thanks again.. That must have been a really nice parts car!0 -
Be sure to send me pics of your Hudson after you get the steering wheel on it instead of that ugly ivory one. I was just a kid when my uncle took the car apart so i barely remember it. luckily he put this stuff in a box in the garage so they didnt age outside. all he wanted was the 308 twin-h engine, which he changed to a single carburated engine ( no, i dont have the twin carb manifold) to put in his Chris-Craft. I did have the complete engine and O/D tranny but it is gone now. i also got out of the garage a complete original 1955 Chev 265 engine and Powerglide still with the oil bath air filter. it spent some time in the same boat. funny, i dont remember the hudson so much but i do remember riding in the boat.

Dennis0 -
im not that knowledgeable on the old Hudsons so you are probably right. the wiper and light controls are in the chrome part of the dash panel with a speedo on on side and a clock on the other. it must be a 51 dash then, thanks for the info

I found a couple more things in the garage from the old 1951 Hudson. I found the other hubcap so now i have all 4 and i have the original 1951 Hudson owners manual that has the electrical diagram and lubrication points chart. I also have the radio owners manual and radio and a 1949 Hudson owners manual. I still have the cigarette lighter and 1951 dash panel and ashtray.
